Wedges, Army Colours and Oprah Winfrey, London

They were everywhere during London Fashion Week: The canvas tote bags. Guests at the Mulberry show in NYC all received a cute tote bag with a rabbit peeking out of an Alexa bag printed on it (you can see one in my "Balenciaga Love, London" post, for instance).

But around Somerset House, during LFW, I saw a lot of different tote prints as well. Here's one of talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey, giving an otherwise serious look a humorous touch.

Have-to-Have: Wedges! Your Opinion, Please

I want new wedges. I NEED new wedges. I have to find a perfect pair.
That's why I need your help. I've considered a pair of black Givenchy embossed snakeskin ones - damn expensive, not very practical, but freakin' awesome - or, Moncler lace ups in grey suede with a rubber wedge heel - pretty, kinda' practical and (a bit) more affordable.

So... I want them both, but can't afford both, so help me choose - PLEASE!

Harper's Kim Hersov with her girlfriends during LFW

When I first saw this woman, I instantly noticed her stylish appearance. I later found out that it was Harper's Bazaar's Editor-at-Large, Kim Hersov. There's just a certain air about her that I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's the hair, maybe it's the Tabitha Simmons booties and the long tuxedo jacket - no matter what, she's got impeccable taste (no wonder Jude Law dated her).

Notice 10 Magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Sophia Neophitou, in the background.

If anyone can tell me who the cool woman in the Givenchy peep-toe booties and grey coat is, please do. I hate not knowing!

Thank You for Dello Russo, 10 and W!

I'm so loving Anna Dello Russo, so I send infinite mental thank yous to 10 and W for putting her in their magazines.
Btw, she owns 4000 pairs of shoes and 250 black tuxedo jackets. Jealous much?!

Here are some pics of the exceptional Dello Russo:

Mind the Gap

They've been popular before: the interesting and different girls with gaps between their front teeth. Lauren Hutton, Brigitte Bardot, Madonna and Vanessa Paradis all either contributed or still contribute to the changed image of what's beautiful in a world full of plastic fantastics.

Model of the moment, Lindsay Wixon, and the current Vogue UK cover girl, Lara Stone, show that the gap-toothed girls still rock - also among models who are otherwise supposed to be 'flawless'.

Here are my favourite gap-toothed models of the moment adorning i-D Magazine covers.

The 16-year-old model, Lindsay Wixon, rocks the boat in the industry.

The 18-year-old daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, is very popular.

Curvy, sexy, recently married and just won a case against French Playboy, Dutch model Lara Stone knows what she's doing!

Go Tomboy Crazy

Now that it has become all autumn-y and cold (in Denmark anyway) focus on the good stuff - a new shoe season has arrived! It's too cold to wear ballerinas so swop them with tomboy shoes for now. Mannish shoes were all over the A/W 10 catwalks and Sienna Miller has been seen wearing her Rupert Sanderson oxfords out and about for quite a while now.

I think that women have to be very careful not to look either clumsy or too masculine when picking a pair of mannish shoes, so my advice is to style them well (really think about it when buying them) and not to settle for just an 'okay' pair. A quick style advice: unless you have thick calves (be honest with yourself) the shoes usually look good with folded up jeans, a feminine skirt that ends over the knee, or just plain skinny jeans.

Here are some of my favourite tomboy shoes.

Rupert Sanderson's oxfords. Here worn by Olivia Palermo.

Marc by Marc Jacobs' leather brogues

I must mention my favourite pair (I have been the happy owner of a pair since I bought them at Barney's NYC last year) - Louboutin's Fred Flats. They're insanely cool (more so in real life) and comfortable.

If you're not willing to invest in a high-end label pair, Urban Outfitters have acceptable substitutes. These are from Deena and Ozzy and only cost £28.

Cute Girl, Cool Camera, London

The colour of the camera makes a big difference in the colour scheme of the picture and in how the colours work together. - It adds another dimention. Love this girl.

Stella McCartney's Astonishing Shoes, Paris

I have loved these incredible boots ever since I saw them on McCartney's fall 2008 catwalk. I never bought them (they're pretty expensive) but I still looove'em, and envied this cool Lady Gaga looking girl for wearing them.

Biggest B-day Wish: A Sketch by Hernandez and McCollough

I'm currently making my birthday wish list (my birthday's in November) and I'm trying to come up with exciting stuff to wish for even though most of my top wishes are impossible to fulfil: amazing stuff from the SS11 collections such as a biker jacket from Burberry Prorsum, dresses from Lanvin, and black snakeskin pumps from Proenza.

But if I was allowed to make ONE wish for my birthday (and it couldn't be stuff like world peace, discovering a cure for cancer, etc.) it would be a personal greeting card from Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough accompanied by a sketch of theirs. Not only are they in the group that constitute my favourite designers (I can’t choose just one label, so I have a few) but they make absolutely stunning sketches. This photo was taken by Tommy Ton for his great blog, Jak & Jil:
