Cozy Christmas (and stylish, of course!)

Perfect for the cozy (and COLD!) days around Christmas and New Years: a warm shearling vest and a soft grey shirt underneath combined with a statement necklace (like this silver chain) for just a hint of glamour.

Put on a pair of heels if you're going out and you'll be dancing in no time!

Go Grey! London

Wow for a wonderful cape! And with those boots!! Wearing only grey sounds a bit boring in theory, but this woman shows how cool it can look in reality - so thanks for that.

Happy Christmas everybody! (in Denmark we celebrate it on the 24th).

Carine Stops at Vogue!!!

NOOOOO! At only 56 of age, Carine Roitfeld is leaving Paris Vogue to work on personal projects. I just really hope that these projects will be for magazines and great designers (can you say Tom and Mario?) so we can enjoy more of Carine's incredible eye for style.
It's really the end of an era for me personally, since I've never seen a French Vogue without a touch of Carine and I'm wondering (fearing, one might say) WHO the new editor in chief will be.

According to Vogue.co.uk Carine is leaving at the end of January and her replacement will be announced in a couple of weeks.

Carine will be truely missed at Vogue! - funny leg pose and all.

Popular Bags at LFW SS11

The PS1 bag from Proenza Schouler is everywhere at the moment, and of course it was also to be seen during LFW. Notice the girl's amazing jacket!
Chanel's Classic Flap Bag - designed by Karl in the 80s (not to be confused with the Reissue 2.55 designed by Miss Chanel herself) - still rocks the fashion world and was made up-to-date with a leather/shearling aviator-style jacket.

Well, I'm off to London for a couple of days (Selfridges' shoe heaven, here I come!) so have a great weekend guys.

A Jacobs Inspiration, London

Yes, the fifties do come to mind when I think Marc Jacobs and Fall 2010, but Marc also felt a grungy vibe, and, apparently, these two London fashionistas felt it too.

Ponytale and Round Sunglasses, London

I met this girl outside Somerset House during LFW, and as far as I remember she was a Canadian girl working as an intern for an American fashion magazine.

She seemed really cool and nice to talk to, but I don't remember her name so please let me know if you know her from somewhere.

Love the round sunglasses with the side ponytale, btw. It's girly, but not too much when it's combined with the denim and the heels.

Valentino for Gap - cool ruffles or khaki hell?

As I've written previously, the Valentino designers have collaborated with Gap for a capsule collection. It will launch this coming Saturday in London (Dover Street Market and the Gap on Oxford St.), Paris (Colette, obviously) and Italy.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli have made a military style, khaki coloured collection - but with the ruffles that I asked for, when I first wrote about the collection. I like it, but what do you guys think of the collection? Too green? Unfortunately, I'm stuck in Denmark at the moment so I won't be able to try on a pair of the cool ruffled cargo pants..
Then again, I just bought all that wasn't sold out online from the Lanvin for H&M collection yesterday morning: two t-shirts, a dress, and a lipstick.

Well, back to Valentino for Gap, here are some pictures from the collection.

Sally Singer in the 2nd Industrie Magazine! (and Marc on the cover)

I'm very excited to tell you that Sally Singer will be in the 2nd issue of Industrie Magazine - the worlds first culture of fashion magazine. Sally has been a successful fashion news and features director of American Vogue and is now editor of T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

Singer has an interesting background working at non-fashion publications, and she did her studies Berkeley, California and Yale, and I, for one, look forward to reading the article about this intelligent and stylish woman.

BTW, Marc Jacobs is the new cover "girl" of Industie Mag. See bottom picture.

Nadia Sarwar, London

She dresses insanely... but somehow it really works! London based FrouFrouu blogger, Nadia Sarwar, was really popular during LFW and everybody wanted to take her picture. Here's one that I got.

Lovely Colour Combo, London

I really like the cute shoes and shirt combined with the tougher denim shorts and leather belt and the long blazer. And the matching colour of the pumps and necklace is lovely.

Fashionable Ballerina, Copenhagen

I was in Copenhagen a few days ago to do some shopping and to see Swan Lake in the Danish Opera (I danced ballet for 8 years when I was a child). While browsing in the high-fashion store, Birger Christensen, I discovered two huge, framed photographs showing a ballerina wearing the Danish brand, Munderingskompagniet's new collection of underwear and activewear. A collection called The Royal Danish Ballet.

I absolutely LOVED these pictures - especially the jumping one - and I'm currently trying to find out where to buy one of them for when I move out of my parents house. And since I loved them so much, I want to share them with you guys.

Wedges, Army Colours and Oprah Winfrey, London

They were everywhere during London Fashion Week: The canvas tote bags. Guests at the Mulberry show in NYC all received a cute tote bag with a rabbit peeking out of an Alexa bag printed on it (you can see one in my "Balenciaga Love, London" post, for instance).

But around Somerset House, during LFW, I saw a lot of different tote prints as well. Here's one of talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey, giving an otherwise serious look a humorous touch.

Have-to-Have: Wedges! Your Opinion, Please

I want new wedges. I NEED new wedges. I have to find a perfect pair.
That's why I need your help. I've considered a pair of black Givenchy embossed snakeskin ones - damn expensive, not very practical, but freakin' awesome - or, Moncler lace ups in grey suede with a rubber wedge heel - pretty, kinda' practical and (a bit) more affordable.

So... I want them both, but can't afford both, so help me choose - PLEASE!

Harper's Kim Hersov with her girlfriends during LFW

When I first saw this woman, I instantly noticed her stylish appearance. I later found out that it was Harper's Bazaar's Editor-at-Large, Kim Hersov. There's just a certain air about her that I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's the hair, maybe it's the Tabitha Simmons booties and the long tuxedo jacket - no matter what, she's got impeccable taste (no wonder Jude Law dated her).

Notice 10 Magazine's Editor-in-Chief, Sophia Neophitou, in the background.

If anyone can tell me who the cool woman in the Givenchy peep-toe booties and grey coat is, please do. I hate not knowing!

Thank You for Dello Russo, 10 and W!

I'm so loving Anna Dello Russo, so I send infinite mental thank yous to 10 and W for putting her in their magazines.
Btw, she owns 4000 pairs of shoes and 250 black tuxedo jackets. Jealous much?!

Here are some pics of the exceptional Dello Russo:

Henry's Hosiery, London

A girl rocking the popular Henry Holland for Pretty Polly tights in London during fashion week.

Mind the Gap

They've been popular before: the interesting and different girls with gaps between their front teeth. Lauren Hutton, Brigitte Bardot, Madonna and Vanessa Paradis all either contributed or still contribute to the changed image of what's beautiful in a world full of plastic fantastics.

Model of the moment, Lindsay Wixon, and the current Vogue UK cover girl, Lara Stone, show that the gap-toothed girls still rock - also among models who are otherwise supposed to be 'flawless'.

Here are my favourite gap-toothed models of the moment adorning i-D Magazine covers.

The 16-year-old model, Lindsay Wixon, rocks the boat in the industry.

The 18-year-old daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, is very popular.

Curvy, sexy, recently married and just won a case against French Playboy, Dutch model Lara Stone knows what she's doing!
